We were given about 45 mintues to eat and the quality of the food was subpar. The only negative part of this whole tour was the buffet lunch served at a restaurant on the way to the Grand Canyon. After doing sightseeing at the Grand Canyon we headed back to Vegas and actually arrived back at our hotel 30 minutes earlier than originally told. The views at the Grand Canyon are spectacular and must be seen in person since the depth & colors of the canyon can not be adequately shown in photos or videos. At the Grand Canyon we had about 50 minutes to do sightseeing at the first stop and about 60 minutes at the second stop.

The driver made a point of counting the number of passengers to make sure that everyone was on board before departing. We stopped periodically for bathroom breaks (to avoid everyone having to use the bathroom on the bus), for snacks, and for souveniers. He also showed movies during the long stretches where there wasn't much to look at or talk about (he had it timed out perfectly so the movies would end just as we were arriving at our destination. He would provide us with facts about things we were seeing (Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, etc.). The driver/tour guide did a very nice job of keeping us informed without talking the entire trip. We (about 12 people total) boarded the bus and departed at 7:15 am (15 minutes earlier than planned).
The driver/tour guide (Dave) was inspecting the outside & inside of the bus, which was nice to see after reading the negative reviews about the bathrooms not being cleaned out, etc. The bus arrived about 20 minutes late, but quickly got us to the Showtime Bus Terminal where we picked up our boarding passes and waited to board the actual bus that would be taking us to the Grand Canyon. When my wife & I arrived in Las Vegas I called Showtime Tours and scheduled our pickup for 6:30 am the next day at our hotel. I did contact Southwest Vacations in an attempt to cancel the tour and book it with another tour company, but was told it would cost $30 to do so - thus I opted to stick with the Showtime Tour & hope for the best especially since it cost $160 per person. Had I known that TripAdvisor offered reviews of specific tour companies and had I read the 14 (out of 17) negative reviews of Showtime Tours, I probably wouldn't have booked the Grand Canyon tour. I booked a package deal via Southwest Vacations for airfare, hotel, transfers and added on the Grand Canyon South Rim Tour. Take the cab, if you are two ore more, it is even cheaper, or another airport shuttle service! This is the worst travel experience we had so far, and we are travelling a lot. Because the bus was late, we almost missed our flight and couldn't reimburse the tickets. Finally, the bus driver was not willing to accept the pre-paid Expedia vouchers, so we had to pay $16 and were told to reimburse it at the Showtime Tours booth at the airport. We called the dispatch line twice, nevertheless we had to wait 50 minutes with the luggage and small children in front of the hotel until a further bus arrived.

Two of the bus drivers were very rude and inpolite and not willing to help in any way. Three shuttle busses refused to board us (and other passengers that also had scheduled transportation to the airport) by saying they were 'full', which was obviously not the case (we think they went to pick up more passengers at other hotels). Beware from the SHOWTIME TOURS airport shuttles in Las Vegas! We paid for roundtrip tickets, and booked the return transport to the airport on time.
